BIOGRAPHY

Jon Wilson came to Maine as a boatbuilder in 1970. He started WoodenBoat Magazine in 1974, eventually moving it to the current campus in Brooklin where WoodenBoat School is also located. He retired from WoodenBoat in 2021. He is the director of JUST Alternatives, a national nonprofit. He lives in Brooklin with his wife Sherry Streeter.
